Margarita Pazara
The Greek soprano was born in 1996 and began her musical training at a young age with piano and flute. This led to participation in several choirs, orchestras, ensembles, and seminars, traveling across the country with them.
Alongside her school education, she received her diploma in music theory from the Conservatory in Larisa in 2012.
In 2014, she moved to Germany, where she studied singing and ensemble leadership for two years at the Vocational School for Music in Bad Königshofen under A. Greiling and E. Oestreicher.
She then began studying opera singing at the University of Music Würzburg in 2016, completing her bachelor’s degree under Prof. Cheryl Studer and her master’s degree under Prof. Alexandra Coku in 2021. Simultaneously, she appeared several times as a guest in the opera choir of the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg between 2018 and 2021.
Some of the most significant master classes in her career were those she completed under Brigitte Fassbänder and Klesie Kelly. During her master’s studies, she worked in the opera choirs of the Landestheater Coburg and the Staatstheater Darmstadt.
As part of her studies at the Würzburg Opera School, she interpreted roles such as Papagena, the 1st Lady, Telemann’s Euridice, Schönberg’s Pierrot Lunaire, and Künneke’s Julia de Weert. Additionally, she was a recipient of scholarships from the Richard Wagner Association Würzburg in 2018/19, the Wolfgang & Marie Fischer Flach Foundation in 2021, the Oskar-Karl Forster Foundation, and the Stephan & Hermine Werner Foundation.
In concert, she performed as a soloist in Bad Königshofen in Haydn’s “The Creation” in 2022 and Honegger’s “King David” in 2023 under the direction of E. Oestreicher and E. Koch, as well as in Gounod’s “Cäcilienmesse” at the Martinskirche Kassel with Karsten Koch.
Currently, the soprano is a member of the opera choir at the Staatstheater Kassel.
